Back in 2018, I was just another burnt-out corporate guy hitting the same boring gym routine. You know the type - treadmill, some machines, maybe a few half-hearted reps. Something had to change.
I'd been competing in amateur CrossFit competitions on weekends, and that's where I felt alive. The community, the intensity, the way every workout pushed me past what I thought was possible. That's when it hit me - Vancouver needed a place that wasn't just about Instagram poses and smoothie bars.
Started Mythrion Void in a 2,000 square foot warehouse with five people and some beat-up equipment. The name? It's kinda nerdy - "Mythrion" represents the mythical strength we're all chasing, and "Void" is that empty space where transformation happens. Cheesy? Maybe. But it stuck.
Seven years later, we've got over 400 members who aren't here to mess around. They're here to sweat, push limits, and become the strongest version of themselves. We've trained everyone from complete beginners to provincial-level athletes, and honestly, watching someone hit a PR they never thought possible never gets old.
